This superb project was an absolute dream. A large Stately Manor with original historical features. It was tired and dated and in need of some sympathetic refurbishment.
The brief was to create an elegant yet homely spaces for family life and entertaining. As well as creating personalized spaces for their children.
We started to work on the interior design scheme for full furniture, soft furnishings and decoration for the whole property for their approval. Taking complete advantage of the double height ceilings and large windows. All fire places were refurbished to a grand scale with full stone mantles added.
All furniture was carefully picked out and in some case made to order for the intended space. Luxurious fabrics were chosen for the drapery and upholstery and luscious rugs were proposed to sit on top of the original stone flooring.
Our favourite room is perhaps the smallest – the Bespoke Library. The mix of Art and Books with the luxury traditional furniture and vast ceiling heights adds to a little oasis to read and relax in front of the fire place.
Working with these clients often 'remotely' we provided a fully managed project attending and overseeing all the work, externally and internally, reporting on progress, installation of all furnishings, ready for them to enjoy...
